Again, Pimm tells us:

"With US President Reagan situating cruise missles in military bases all over Europe, the arms race between the Soviet Union and the United States reigns supreme. Both sides spend billions of dollars and roubles fabricating nuclear arms, pointing them at each other as a 'deterrent.' All over Europe people take to the streets to show their fear and concern about this insane and perilous game of bluff poker. Though they are keeping a low profile while working on their next record, U2 decide to participate in this peace concert organised by the Campaign of Nuclear Disarmament to protest against American nuclear missles at Greenham Common. The show includes three or four song sets by all the artists and sketches and comedy turns by actors who 'wished to confirm their commitment to peace,' according to the press release. Ticket prices range between L6 and L18, the proceeds going to CND.

"At the end of The Alarm's set, Mike Peters announces U2, who play a short set of some of their most powerful and lyrically appropriate songs. Edge sings a moving version of Seconds, its anti-nuclear lyrics never more appropriate. Mike Peters comes out to join Bono on Knocking on Heaven's Door."

This is a two-for-one torrent, since the disc was sent to me this way...the quality on the Newcastle set is 3.5/5, but maybe only 2.5/5 for the London set.

I cannot find any descriptions of the Victoria Apollo show at other web sites other than the setlist archive, so if you don't insist upon sb quality, this is a nice rarity to add to your collections...which also means there is no existent cover art. Video from the Tyne Tees show has shown up on some compilation DVD's such as White Flags Over Europe.
