Drew's Notes:
Thanks to the Tapers, both Amazingly Fantastic recordings!!
I know Godfather records has done a matrix of this, but theirs is crap compared to this (IMO). This has a lot more punch to it and just a lot more in your face feel.
Chris Voynet's recording is one of the best Audience sources in my opinion, ever. It is almost too good, there is so little audience noise, that it made it hard to get a good audience feel in the mix, so that is why when a song ends and there is usual cheering and clapping, you don't hear much, now that takes talent to get a recording like that, well, good position, good mics always help too. I never thought I'd wish for more audience in a recording, I'll take it though!
I did the usual Eq on the IEM, filtered it to help reduce the hiss that IEM's have, but still a little bit present. The IEM does have a few little flaws here and there, but hardly noticable and again, there are only a few little ones, excellent IEM recording.
If you don't like my eq, because it hurts your ears, and you need a program to tell you I did the eq wrong (because a computer program knows how I like my music??), please keep it to yourself, Positive feedback is all that is needed. I do these Matrices because I enjoy doing it and to share with everyone. I try and improve the available sources and create a much better show (IMO). If I go to a show, I want to listen to it later from the best possible sources in as close to a soundboard recording as the sources and technology will allow, and I'm trying to help those that went to the show have that same experience. If you don't have anything nice to say, shut the F$%# up!
