I used to go to school in CO and I have heard of this band but never seen them. Nurme (friend) who's fav band is BHT&theM
for some reason could not go and gave us these tickets. I had never seen them before but knew they let you tape and Higher Ground
is taper friendy so I grabbed my gear and left. I did not have a mic stand and figured thier would be someone else taping that I could
patch into or attach my mics to their stand. Nope. Their was not even a poll I could tape my mics to, so I asked the dude to the right of the SBD ( I think it was
the lighting desk) if I could put my dec and mics on his table. Not ideal only shoulder High (the recording would have benifited if the mics
were 2' higher) but I did not feel like standing for 2 1/4 hours not talking or moving while holding some mics above my head. So it is no my best recording but it
it is not my worst. It is what it is. Hey enjoy - share - trade- and it is free.
Tec note:
I reduced the bass down a little , might need more but I AM NOT AN EXPERT so I do not like to mess with the original very much. Thier is some didi noice track 1 and
disc 2 track 5- 6. I fixed what I could by copying from the left channel and replacing to the right channel. When checking my tape (at the show) I realised I had a 95 min
tape and not a 90 meter (3 hour). I had to grap an old tape (generic brand) with an old recording I did not want on it. I had to tape over the old recording, when this is done
the dat ID does not always write correctly. (Starting at disc 2 track 5) It took me an hour to finally get the deck to play the tracks without a bunch of garble. For awhile
I thought I had lost it but then it clicked in and played. Most of these tracks I had to copy the right chanel onto the left channel so some of these are tecnacally
in Mono. Their was massive digi noise and static on th eleft channel where the player could not read the tape correctly. I raised the right channel slightly to match disc 1.
the mics where so close together one can not tell the difference anyway.
Feel free to edit and try to improve the sound, just make notes, add to this text file and trade in a lossless format.
